Your first useful Claude Project
Set up a focused content workspace with a reusable brief, approved examples, and a practical review loop.
Choose a narrow first project
Start with one recurring job, such as planning Batala content or summarizing meeting notes. A project that tries to manage every part of your life is harder to brief and review. Define one output you want to repeat and collect only the material needed for it.
Build the project brief
Write the audience, purpose, tone, source rules, and output format in plain language. These instructions should make sense to a colleague seeing the project for the first time.
This project helps me create [deliverable] for [audience]. Use these facts: [facts]. Match these voice examples: [examples]. Respect these limits: [constraints]. Do not invent results, testimonials, or product capabilities. Ask about material gaps. Produce drafts in this format: [format].
Add a small source set
Include one current offer document, an audience brief, and two approved examples. Give files recognizable names. If two documents disagree, state which is current. Review private information before uploading it.
Run a sample task
Choose a small output you can inspect closely. The first run is a check of the brief as much as the assistant.
Using this project brief and the supplied files, create [specific output]. Before drafting, list the source facts you will rely on and any missing information. Keep the first draft short enough for me to review. Do not publish or send anything.
Improve the instructions
Correct the recurring cause of a weak draft rather than adding dozens of arbitrary rules. If the tone is too formal, supply a better example. If facts are wrong, identify the authoritative source.
Compare my feedback [feedback] with the project instructions. Propose the smallest change that would prevent the same problem next time. Explain the tradeoff, then provide an updated instruction block for me to review.
Keep the workflow current
After a few runs, retain the examples and instructions that make a difference. Archive outdated references locally rather than losing the original. Recheck the brief whenever your offer, audience, or publishing format changes.
